Clocks

It's a common clock style of the time. Ones with brass movements were made from the mid to late 1800's. Before that the mostly had wood movements. I'm keeping my eye open for one of those. The bottom picture of an anchor is reverse painted on glass. You can see it is mostly there. The crank is below the clock. The clock is weight driven. It has two lead weights, one drives the time movement and the other drives the chime which goes every hour. It is a 30 hour clock which means you have to wind it every day.
The picture below shows the paper glued to the inside back. You can see it is in very good shape, which is pretty rare.
You can see one of the weights in the picture below. If you look closely you can see the string that goes from the movement to the top of the clock. If you look at the first picture above you'll see two small blocks on the top of the clock. These cover up pulleys for the weights. So the string goes up and around the pulley down to the weight making it so the weight can travel the full height of the clock.
