This project involves the fireplace and the entertainment cabinet.  The fireplace is here.  Below is the entertainment cabinet as it was when I bought the house.  The original fireplace is next to it.

Below you can see the new fireplace and the cavity where the cabinet was.  The cabinet was made by WC Pritchard.  They came today, 10/28/2011, to put them in.

I wired a couple of the eight lights.  You can see the two end lights are on.

I had to put the TV in to see how it looks.

Shortly after they finished I moved all the electronics in and wired it up.  There are some Bose speaker wires that still need routing.  The picture just doesn't do it justice.  It looks great.  Now I just need to finish the fireplace tiles and I can call the living room done!  Yaay!  I started the fireplace a YEAR ago!

The Bose subwoofer is behind the far left door.  There are louvers in the kick plate to let the sound out. 

10/30/2011 Finished wiring the rest of the lights and tiling the right side of the fireplace.  There is still the top five feet of the back side that need to get tiled.

It's 51 degrees out so I started a fire to get the chill out.  Worked great!
