Thanks to Suzanne and Bob Swinehart for the Victrola.  I found a 4-part YouTube on how to rebuild this exact motor.  There was a lot of very old solidified grease.  The two 17-foot long springs were not greased by whoever rebuilt it last, that's why it couldn't be wound before.  One spring was messed up but fortunately there was a brand new spare.  It runs like new now.  I ordered 200 new needles.  They cost about $0.04 each.  It turns out that you are supposed to use a new needle for every record you play.  I also repaired the rear-left foot.
